The Ryan Foundation supports the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Omaha
The Ryan Foundation recently donated $120,000 to St. Vincent De Paul Society District Council of Omaha in June 2020.
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is one of the largest charitable organizations in the country, providing social services, resources, and financial assistance to the poor and needy across the United States. The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Omaha provides support for families from Omaha and surrounding towns that are facing challenges ranging from unemployment or under-employment, major illness, limited access to quality healthcare, or homelessness. The Society of Saint Vincent and its member churches provide free food, clothing, housing or help those with a lack of ability to pay their bills on time as part of their financial assistance program.
The Ryans throughout their lives supported those who needed help. They supported numerous Catholic Charities who lent helping hands to the homeless and less fortunate. The Ryan Foundation has been a regular contributor to St. Vincent de Paul Society of Omaha, donating over $35,000 from 2000 to 2015. In these difficult times, there is no doubt that Dr. and Mrs. Ryan would have been no less generous helping those who have been affected by this pandemic.
The entirety of this donation will be used as a part of St. Vincent de Paul’s financial assistance program. The funds are expected to help benefit many individuals and families that have experienced hardship brought on by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
