The Ryan Foundation donates to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Corning Iowa
The Ryan Foundation recently donated over $45,000 to St. Patrick Catholic Church of Corning, Iowa in December 2020.
The members of Saint Patrick Roman Catholic Parish, in the Diocese of Des Moines, are dedicated to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ as individual members and as a community in the tradition of the Catholic Church. The Church community is committed to worship, education, stewardship and service as they extend a helping hand to others in need and to those who wish to join the church. The Church resides in Dr. Ryan’s hometown of Corning, Iowa and is the church of his youth, he continued to support this Church during his lifetime.
Dr. Ryan never forgot his hometown or the Church he attended from the time he was a small child. He and brother, Don, would get up early on Sunday mornings to stoke the fire so the church would be warm for the first mass. Dr. Ryan intended to always be sure that St. Patrick’s Church had what they needed. The Ryan Foundation previously donated over $22,000 to the Church from 2001-2014.
Most of the donation will be used to reimburse the Church for a roof repair that was conducted earlier this year. The remaining funds will go towards purchasing and installing an overhead projector with live streaming equipment and restoring the Sacred Heart statue in the Church courtyard.
